Clubs
We are extremely excited to be able to offer extracurricular clubs at South Street School again this year. K-2 Clubs will run in the mornings from 8:10-9:10, and parents can drop off their children beginning at 8 am. Children will have an opportunity to sit and have breakfast prior to heading off to clubs. These experiences allow students to discover interests and build new relationships with peers and teachers. Simply put, involvement in clubs enhances the overall academic experience for many of our students and provides the “hook” some need to enjoy the full educational experience. We are planning to run clubs on Thursdays from 8:10-9:10 beginning October 12.

Pack your imagination—we’re heading on an adventure! In the Explorers Club, students explore countries and cultures through stories, music, art, games, and more. Each week is a new journey filled with traditions, celebrations, and discoveries that show what makes every culture unique. No passport required—just curiosity, kindness, and a love of exploring the world!

Friendship & Kindness Club is all about fun, laughter, and learning how to be the best kind of friend. Through games, stories, and activities, students will practice kindness, empathy, and cooperation while building social skills that last a lifetime. Each week, we’ll celebrate how small acts of caring can make our school an even happier and friendlier place. Come join the team that spreads smiles wherever they go!

South Street Shines Club is where students turn caring into action. Members will roll up their sleeves for projects like food and clothing drives, while also building our school’s special “Timeline of Compassion.” Students will learn how to be leaders by learning how to self reflect and extend care to their school & community. Together, we’ll lead with kindness, celebrate the ways our community helps others, and discover the power of teamwork to make a real difference.

Calling all artists! Students will doodle, draw, color, paint and craft their way through fun projects while learning new ways to express their creativity. Each week students will experiment with different art materials and techniques while creating fun projects they’ll be proud to take home! Art club encourages creativity, self expression, and having fun with friends. Bring your imagination and get ready to create!

Welcome South Street Scientists! Get ready to test, build, react, and discover! In this hands-on club, our K–2 learners step into the shoes of real young scientists as they explore through cool experiments and awesome sensory discoveries. Each week, kids will dive into bubbly reactions, gooey tactile chemistry, and colorful investigations that bring big scientific ideas to life!

Get ready to move, groove, and have a blast! Dance club is a place where everyone can dance, create, and shine. We’ll learn fun dances, explore new movements, express our creativity, and make new friends along the way. No dance experience is needed - just bring your energy, a big smile, and a love for having fun!
